"This is your chance at love and happiness. Go get him.”

The Evil Queen is a very complex, delicious, fun character to play. I love the joy she feels when threatening/intimidating others — too fun. She’s extremely unapologetic and yet still seeks to grow into a better human being. That is what I love most about her.

You are not an idiot and you’re never reckless.

I was sitting in a restaurant with a friend, and having a tough time deciding what to order. I said to the waitress, ‘I don’t know what I’m going to go for,’ and the waitress jumped in with the line [“You know nothing Jon Snow”]. It was very funny; it was perfect timing. I gave her a high five — actually, I wanted to give her a high five, but it would have been incredibly lame if I did.

people want to believe gender is something that’s essential, and people repeat these essentialist ideas all the time. oh, women do that and oh, men do that and the reality is that all women don’t anything. we as individuals do what we do, you know, and sometimes that’s informed by gender and sometimes it’s just who we are. and i think all that just makes people really, really uncomfortable because they don’t want to think about who they are. —laverne cox (via ablogwithaview)
